Every photo is made up of light and shadow. Two contrasting elements that have not much meaning without one another but when together as a photograph, they can convey moods, feelings and even preserve a memory.
Just like the story of us, I (Patrick) and April, two vastly different people, we combined different strengths and passions to form Light & Shadow Photography.
We understand that everyone is unique, and that’s how we try to approach each photo session. Capturing people’s personality and feelings in their natural state with minimum posing and interruption. We work hard, striving to create personalised images that can tell your story and what is important to you.
My first love with photography started 16 years ago when I was given my first film SLR camera from my grandfather. I’ve been taking photos ever since, with a single aim to create photos that create an emotional connection with my audiences.
With over 11 years’ experience in post-production and design I decided to consolidate that experience into my studies of photography and we formed our own photography business in 2013. The experiences so far have been amazingly a rewarding from an artistic point of view for us and also in delivery satisfying results to our clients.
We live in Sydney and in our spare time we like to explore all variety of places within and outside of gorgeous city to show you all the hidden spots for photographing (or good places for your day out), like us on Facebook to follow our journey.
